How does crafting work in Path of Exile 2?
You raise an item's rarity (white → magic → rare) with currency orbs, adding modifiers as you go: Transmutation makes it magic, Regal makes it rare, and Exalted Orbs fill the remaining slots. Essences guarantee a specific modifier, and Omens steer otherwise-random orbs. PoE2Craft turns any goal into an ordered, step-by-step plan.
What's the best way to craft an item with specific stats?
Pick the item and the stats you want in the planner. It chooses the most sensible method — usually guaranteeing one mod with an essence, then filling the rest with omen-steered Exalted Orbs — and shows the real odds, expected cost and fallbacks for each step.
Do essences go on white or magic items in PoE2?
Lesser, Normal and Greater essences are used on a Magic item (they upgrade it to Rare and add a guaranteed modifier). Perfect essences are used on a Rare item instead — they remove a random modifier and add a guaranteed one at the highest tier.
What's the difference between Greater and Perfect orbs/essences?
They work like the base version but roll from higher modifier tiers (gated by item level). At endgame, Perfect-tier currency and essences give the strongest possible rolls, so PoE2Craft uses them automatically when you set the planner to Endgame.
Can I craft the gear from a build guide?
Yes — paste a Mobalytics PoE2 build into the build importer and PoE2Craft reads each item's target stats and gives you a click-to-craft plan for every piece, across all gear variants (Act 1–4, Endgame, etc.).
